Description:
PET is often just called polyester. The material is hard and stiff, rigid, resistant to deformation and only little water-absorbant. PET features a good resistance to chemicals, except alkaline media in which it is hydrolised. Its crystallinity varies from amorphous to mainly crystalline; PET can be totally transparent and colorless but thicker parts are typically intransparent and whiteish-coloured.
