Collective name for organic acrylic glasses composed of polymethacrylates, which are produced by polymerisation and additional extrusion and injection molding. They feature high transparency and scratch resistance. The most known acrylic glas is Plexiglas, a polymethylmethycrylate (PMMA, Structure is shown below).
