Beschreibung:<\/h2>\n

Wird klassisch durch Polymerisation von Tetraaminobiphenyl und Diphenylisophthalat hergestellt. PBI zeichnet sich durch eine hohe Glas\u00fcbergangstemperatur aus, die im Bereich von 425-450 \u00b0C liegt. Zersetzung des Polymers setzt in Gegenwart von Luft bereits bei 200 \u00b0C ein. Bei Luftausschluss erh\u00f6ht sich die Zersetzungstemperatur auf \u00fcber 500 \u00b0C. PBI schmilzt nicht und ist nicht entz\u00fcndlich; beh\u00e4lt seine Faserintegrit\u00e4t und Geschmeidigkeit auch bei Kontakt zur Flamme.<\/p>\n

Verwendung:<\/h2>\n

Hochleistungs-Schutzkleidung f\u00fcr die Feuerbek\u00e4mpfung und die Raumfahrt sowie als Gewebe zur Herstellung von Flugzeugsitzen.<\/p>\n

Zus\u00e4tzlich wird PBI in Hochtemperatur-PEM-Brennstoffzellen (160-200 \u00b0C) als Protonenaustauschermembran eingesetzt, hierzu erfolgt Dotierung mit Phosphors\u00e4ure.<\/p>\n
