Molar Mass Calculator
The Molaric mass calculator calculates the molaric mass of compounds as well as the ideal density of gases in g per l (assumed that the compound behaves like an ideal gas).
To convert permeation rates in units with mol involved to mass related units with Mecadi's Permeation Rate Calculator the density is needed.
Background:
To convert permeation rates with volume related units in mass related units (like m in kg), it is necessary to know about the density of the gas.
You can paste the calculated ideal density into the appropriate text field of Mecadi's permeation calculator.
In the case of permeation rates volumes are mostly standardised to 0°C and 1013 hPa (STP), like usual for the ideal density.
In special cases (e.g. volume is not related to 0°C, gases are non-ideal), further conversions or corrections could be essential.
Calculation of the Molar Mass:
The molar mass of a compound is the sum of the molar masses of the elements multiplied by their stoichiometry coefficients.
Application:
You type in your total formula with the help of a periodic table and you get the molar mass after each input.
