Permeation rates - research

Mecadi archives numerous literature and an internal database of publicly available as well as published permeation rates.

Within the framework of our consulting we offer research for permeation rates (with costs) and assist our customers in material selection.

Please note that permeation rates depend on multiple factors such as pressure, temperature, polymer type, processsing, geometry, additives, aging, medium et al. In this respect, literature values for permeation rates only give information about the order of magnitude. If accurate values are necessary, Mecadi GmbH recommends its customers to perform measurement close to the conditions of the real application.

As a basic principle, Mecadi does not pass on values which we measured for customers or data we receive from customers to third parties, unless our customer agrees or even desires publication.

Permeation rates - for polymer manufacturer and fabricator

Mecadi is building up a database containing published permeation rates for consulting purposes. Parts of this database will be available for customers in the future via internet.

At this stage customers use our expertise in the field permeation to select adequate polymer or film for their application.

By providing material data sheets (permeation, resistance, mechanics), you, as a manufacturer, facilitate us and your customers to consider your products in the process of material selection.
