Measurement Unit Permeation (Fluoropolymer) Mecadi

Description

Measurement cells out of fluoroplastics are nearly universal chemical resistant with a broad temperature range of application. To test the permeation of acids, in particular HF, or concentrated bases, permeation cells of fluoroplastics are widely used. Fluoroplastics absorb nearly no substances. Therefore the cleaning of the cells are readily cleanable and the cross contamination through the change of test liquids can be prevented. Low detection limits can be reached because there is nearly no sorption in the area of the permeate room.

Measurement cells out of fluoroplastics are products of the Mecadi GmbH, Made in Germany.

Characteristics

Available ISO conform or according customer specification. For liquids or gases. Connectors, test area, sealing and mounting parts selectable. Perfluorinated elastomersealings on request. Optional: jacketed version. Accessories (tubes, couplings) or complete measurement device available.

Principle

Mecadis fluoropolymer permeation measurement cell consists of two half cells. The test sample is mounted in-between the half cells. One side of the specimen is contacted with the test media. Permeating media is detected on the secondary side (concentration measurement). Ascertainable are break through time, and lowest detection limit (methode and apparatus).

Technical Data

standard, others on request: sample diameter: 55 mm, round measurement area: 25 mm diameter, 4,9 cm2 operating temperature: up to about 200 °C (400 F) possible, please specify. Operting temperature below 20°C (please specify for the selection of sealing materials, declare also used media). chemical resistance: like perfluoropolymers

Standards

ISO 6529 Protective clothing- Protection against chemicals- Determination of resistance of protective clothing materials tp permeation by liquids and gases.
